All of the dialogue is necessarily redubbed, New footage is added, and most of the special effects are enhanced and with color. Clearly, some people put a lot of work into mixing up footage from the original series into this new storyline. New psychedelic opening graphics and remixed music.

Released with: 'Ultraman Zearth' and 'Ultraman Company,' as part of "Ultraman Wonderful World," celebrating the 30th anniversary of the original Ultraman.

A tale based on the original Ultraman series - If you recall, in the original series final episode (episode 39), Ultraman is defeated by Zetton and has to return to his home world with Zoffy, leaving Hayata and the uncertainty of whether Hayata will even be able to transform again.

This feature picks up where the original episode 39 ended. It starts by reintroducing the Science Patrol mecha and members.

After Ultraman is defeated by Zetton, Ide manages to destroy the space dinosaur using a new weapon. Ultraman falls into a month-long "slump" in which he is defeated by monsters like Kemular and Zaragas. The weakened Ultraman must be saved by the Science Patrol, and Captain Muramatsu tells the team that they mustn't rely on Ultraman anymore. Hayata is very grim indeed about this news, and Arashi tells him he should try a stamina drink to boost his energy. Hearing this, Ide gets an idea and goes to work on a new invention.

Meanwhile, Hayata uses his Ultra powers to forsee the invasion of a monster army. He is about to tell Captain Muramatsu about this when Ide reveals that he also had a vision of an impending attack by a monster army. Is Ide also an alien, perhaps?

While the Science Patrol chases UFOs, which turn out to be mirages, headquarters is attacked by Zetton-seijin. The team returns and kill the alien invader, but before he fades away, he calls forth Dodongo and Red King. Hayata and Ide fly to the scene. Pygmon shows up, and Hayata is surprised that Ide seems to understand the little monster's speech. Pygmon is flattened by Dodongo, so Hayata transforms into Ultraman and defeats the monster. Red King is defeated by the Science Patrol using a combined ray from three Super Guns.

Other monsters appear in multiple locations (including Woo, Keronia, Hydra, Gomola, Zumbolar, and Keyra). Ultraman performs the "Ultra Separation," a new weapon created for this feature in which he is able to split into multiple Ultramen and fight on multiple fronts simultaneously. Ultraman cleans up the entire monster army, and then flies to Science Patrol headquarters, which is being attacked by a second Zetton.

Ultraman suffers at the hands of Zetton, but Ide reveals his new secret weapon, a "Stamina Booster" for Ultraman. Ide has Arashi shoot the booster directly into Ultraman's Color Timer. A pumped up Ultraman is able to defeat Zetton with his new Marine Specium Ray (a rainbow-colored version of the weapon).

The narrator leaves the story open to the possibility that Ide is indeed an alien with special powers.
